Grand Theft Auto VI comes out on Thursday, November 19, 2026, on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. That is the date Rockstar Games gives on its own page, Rockstar Newswire: Grand Theft Auto VI is now set to launch November 19, 2026, which DateMath last checked on November 1, 2026. On that day, 18 days were left, which is 2 weeks, 4 days.

How the date was set

Rockstar Games first gave GTA 6 a 2025 release window, then set May 26, 2026, and on November 6, 2025 moved the release to Thursday, November 19, 2026, to give the game more time for polish. A PC version has not been announced.

Release day is a Thursday. If Rockstar Games announces another date, this GTA 6 countdown moves to it and this page says so; rumoured dates and leaks are never used.

At 12:00 AM on November 19, 2026, on your own clock. Rockstar Games gives a release date, not a time, so the countdown ends when that date begins where you are: in New York 3 hours before Los Angeles. A digital game can unlock at another hour in your region; the store listing of your console shows the time for you.

The tiles count real time, so a daylight saving change before release day is counted as the hour it adds or takes away. The calendar days line counts dates and changes at midnight, which is why it can show one day more than the tiles.

The days left from fixed dates before the game comes out, counted the way the calendar days line counts them, release day not included. The hours are the real time from 12:00 AM on the first date to 12:00 AM on release day on the US Eastern clock, so a daylight saving change in between counts as the hour it adds or takes away:

DateMath lists a release only once its publisher has announced a date, and takes that date from the publisher's own page, which each countdown links, with the day DateMath last checked it. Rumoured dates, leaks and release windows such as "fall" are left out. Publishers give a date, not a time, so the countdown runs to 12:00 AM on that date on your device's clock and shows the real time left, counting the hour of any daylight saving change in between. When a date moves, the countdown moves with it and the page says so.
