Printable Calendar

See the calendar of any year or month, with the US federal holidays and their observed days marked and a week number on every row. Weeks start on Sunday, as on US calendars, or on Monday with ISO 8601 week numbers, and the Print button prints just the calendar.

How DateMath draws a calendar

DateMath lays out every month of the Gregorian calendar from the weekday of its 1st and the length of the month, with February's 29th in leap years. Each row is one week, so its number is exact: the US week (Sunday to Saturday, week 1 holds January 1) when weeks start on Sunday, and the ISO 8601 week (Monday to Sunday, week 1 holds the first Thursday) when they start on Monday. The federal holidays are the ones the business days calculator skips, on their own dates and on the days they are observed.

  • The Gregorian calendar. DateMath treats every date as a Gregorian date, with its leap-year rule: a year divisible by 4 is a leap year, except century years not divisible by 400, so 2000 had a February 29 and 2100 will not. Source: Gregorian calendar.
  • ISO 8601 week dates. DateMath numbers weeks by ISO 8601: weeks start on Monday, week 1 is the week with the year's first Thursday, and a year has 52 or 53 weeks. Source: ISO 8601.
  • US federal holidays. DateMath skips the 11 annual holidays of 5 U.S.C. 6103 on the days they are observed for federal employees, as the US Office of Personnel Management (OPM) lists them: a Saturday holiday on the Friday before, a Sunday holiday on the Monday after. Source: 5 U.S.C. 6103, OPM federal holidays.

DateMath's date math is tested against more than 100 cases worked out by hand. Every worked example and table on the site is computed with the same code the calculators run, so a page and its calculator can't disagree.

A printable calendar of any year or month

The calendar opens on this year. Type another year to see it, pick a month to see it larger, and switch the week start between Sunday, as US calendars print it, and Monday, as in Europe and ISO 8601. Press Print and only the calendar goes to the printer: a whole year fits on one landscape page, a month on a portrait page, and your browser's print dialog can save it as a PDF instead.

  • US federal holidays are shaded, on their own date and on the weekday they are observed when they fall on a weekend, and listed under each month.
  • Week numbers sit at the start of every row: the US week when weeks start on Sunday, the ISO 8601 week when they start on Monday. That makes it a calendar with week numbers for any year, such as 2025.
  • Today is outlined, from your device's date.

Years at a glance

A year's calendar depends on two things only: the weekday of January 1 and whether it is a leap year. Years that share both have the same calendar, so an old one can be reused.

Calendars of past years

Each of these years has a page with all twelve months, its holidays and the years that share its calendar:

For a single date, the day of the week calculator gives its weekday and day of the year; for the dates of a numbered week, the week number calculator; and for the holidays of a year as a list, the US federal holidays tool.

Frequently asked questions

How do I print a calendar?
Pick the year, or a month, and press Print: the page prints the calendar alone, without the site's menus and text. Choose landscape for a whole year, or portrait for a month, in your browser's print dialog, which can also save it as a PDF.
Which holidays does the calendar show?
The US federal holidays of 5 U.S.C. 6103, from 1978 on (11 a year since 2021, when Juneteenth was added; Martin Luther King Jr. Day from 1986): each on its own date, and on the day it is observed when it falls on a weekend. State holidays and observances such as Valentine's Day or Easter are not marked.
What does the week column show?
The number of each row's week. With weeks from Sunday it is the US week number (week 1 holds January 1); with weeks from Monday it is the ISO 8601 week number used in Europe and on most business calendars, where week 1 holds the year's first Thursday.
Can I see a calendar with week numbers for this year?
Yes. Every calendar here has week numbers: switch "Weeks start on" to Monday for ISO week numbers, or keep Sunday for US week numbers. The week number calculator gives the dates of any single week.
Which years have the same calendar?
Years that start on the same weekday and are both leap years or both common years. The pattern repeats after 6, 11 or 28 years within a century, so the 2006 calendar is the same as 2017's and 2023's. Each calendar year page lists the years that share its calendar.
Can I see a calendar from hundreds of years ago?
Yes, for any year from 1 to 9999, in the Gregorian calendar. Before a country adopted it (1582 in Catholic Europe, 1752 in Britain and its colonies), people used the Julian calendar, whose dates differ by 10 to 13 days, so check old dates with the Julian date converter.
Does the calendar show moon phases or Easter?
No. It shows the days, the weeks and the US federal holidays only.
