28 Days From Today: What Date Is It?

Count 28 calendar days forward with today as day 0: tomorrow is day 1, and the date 28 days from today is day 28. Weekends and holidays count like any other day. That is how DateMath works out when 28 days from today is, and how a date “in 28 days” is usually meant.

Because 28 days is 4 weeks, the weekday moves on by the days left over after the whole weeks. From a Monday, 28 days later is a Monday; from a Thursday, a Thursday. So the weekday 28 days from today follows from today's weekday alone; the date needs today's date, which the answer card reads from your device.

Counting 28 days by hand

Add 28 to today's day of the month, then take away the length of each month you pass. For example, from Friday, January 15, 2027: 15 + 28 = 43. Take away 31 for January, and 12 is left: Friday, February 12, 2027.

28 days ago is today's date minus 28 days, and it falls on today's weekday: 28 days before a Monday was a Monday. The answer card above shows the date. It counts today as the end of the span, so a period that ends today and started 28 days ago has 29 days when both the first day and today count.
