13 Days From Today: What Date Is It?

Count 13 calendar days forward with today as day 0: tomorrow is day 1, and the date 13 days from today is day 13. Weekends and holidays count like any other day. That is how DateMath works out when 13 days from today is, and how a date “in 13 days” is usually meant.

Because 13 days is 1 week, 6 days, the weekday moves on by the days left over after the whole weeks. From a Monday, 13 days later is a Sunday; from a Thursday, a Wednesday. So the weekday 13 days from today follows from today's weekday alone; the date needs today's date, which the answer card reads from your device.

Counting 13 days by hand

Add 13 to today's day of the month, then take away the length of each month you pass. For example, from Friday, January 15, 2027: 15 + 13 = 28, still in January: Thursday, January 28, 2027.

13 days ago is today's date minus 13 days, and it falls 6 days earlier in the week than today: 13 days before a Monday was a Tuesday. The answer card above shows the date. It counts today as the end of the span, so a period that ends today and started 13 days ago has 14 days when both the first day and today count.

13 business days from today is 13 weekdays from tomorrow, without the 11 annual US federal holidays on the days they are observed; today itself doesn't count, the way Excel's WORKDAY counts. DateMath takes today's date from your device and adds the days as calendar days, weekends and holidays included: tomorrow is 1 day from today, so today itself is day 0. A week is always 7 days, so a number of days that divides by 7 lands on today's weekday. The business-day date counts only Monday to Friday, skips the US federal holidays on their observed dates and doesn't count today, like Excel's WORKDAY.
