15 Days From Today: What Date Is It?

Count 15 calendar days forward with today as day 0: tomorrow is day 1, and the date 15 days from today is day 15. Weekends and holidays count like any other day. That is how DateMath works out when 15 days from today is, and how a date “in 15 days” is usually meant.

Because 15 days is 2 weeks, 1 day, the weekday moves on by the days left over after the whole weeks. From a Monday, 15 days later is a Tuesday; from a Thursday, a Friday. So the weekday 15 days from today follows from today's weekday alone; the date needs today's date, which the answer card reads from your device.

Counting 15 days by hand

Add 15 to today's day of the month, then take away the length of each month you pass. For example, from Friday, January 15, 2027: 15 + 15 = 30, still in January: Saturday, January 30, 2027.

15 days ago is today's date minus 15 days, and it falls 1 day earlier in the week than today: 15 days before a Monday was a Sunday. The answer card above shows the date. It counts today as the end of the span, so a period that ends today and started 15 days ago has 16 days when both the first day and today count.

15 business days from today is 15 weekdays from tomorrow, without the 11 annual US federal holidays on the days they are observed; today itself doesn't count, the way Excel's WORKDAY counts. A week is always 7 days, so a number of days that divides by 7 lands on today's weekday. The business-day date counts only Monday to Friday, skips the US federal holidays on their observed dates and doesn't count today, like Excel's WORKDAY.
